Fat and Happy

Have I ever mentioned my love of cookies? Chocolate Chip, no nuts, type of cookies? Maybe, once or twice or even three times...okay, maybe even more than that, but you get the picture.

Well, last night Claire and I were supposed to go golfing. The impending storm made that plan unexecutable, so she just came over to my place, had dinner, played Wii, went for a walk AND MADE ME SOME COOKIES.

Not only did that beautiful woman bake me some Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies with no nuts, she also made extra batter so that I could have a couple of hot, fresh Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies with no nuts anytime I want during the week.

How sweet is that? How sweet is she?

I think I am in love...yes, with both her and the Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies with no nuts.

-----

And to add to the nature vs. nurture debate...last time we visited Claire's family in South Louisiana, her mom had a Tupperware full of Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies with no nuts just sitting in the fridge waiting to be cooked and consumed by me.

How cool is Claire's mom?

Way cool.

MMmmmmm....I loves me some chocolate chip cookies...but like like nuts in mine, sometimes. Sometimes you just want a cookie chock full of chocolate. *sigh* Guess I'll be baking cookies tonight. ;-)

I like my homemade chocolate chip cookies taken out of the oven about a minute before the designated cooking time is up, so they're a tiny bit raw in the middle. Then I like a couple warm out of the oven, and the rest I eat straight out of the freezer. They're still soft and gooey that way.

"Bake cookies" is now added to my day's 'to do' list.

OMG! I had to show this post to my wife ... I like nuts ... but I can't stand them in cookies, muffins, brownies or any desserts!

Wow, we got nuts in common, er ... should I rephrase that???

My husband loves chocolate chip cookies. Its truly his vice! He taught me to used a hand mixer when making them the "old fashioned" way. Now a days, I'm so busy, I just use Otis Spunkmeyer - put them on a pan and done in 17 minutes (my oven is slow!)

Nothing wrong with a chocolate chip cookie.

Everyday.

Chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven.... Ahhh. I am sure that is what we will eat all day every day in Heaven. And never think of the consequences.

So you prefer female chocolate chip cookies?

Yum! And hot with melty chips? Close to heaven on earth. My ex-MIL had a recipe with pudding mix in it that made them stay soft.

Excuse me... I think I need to go bake now. And I'm not just saying that.

Hmmm. I love chocolate chip cookies. Without the nuts as well. I bake them for my roommates all the time because I have a slight obsession with baking.

It's definitely not a bad thing.

My ideal chocolate chip cookie would be a ginormous cookie with only about 3 chocolate chips...mostly that yummy dough...nice and warm...and maybe a little undercooked.

Too much chocolate and even one single nut doth spoil a cookie, I'm afraid.

:)

PS - Don't get me wrong...I will eat almost any kind of cookie...I am not a cookie racist! ;)

I'm a no nut kinda girl myself. I think nuts ruin any kind of cookie, muffin or bread. Especially walnuts. ICK!

Okay, you have got to stop with the posts that make me think we were meant to be together. Or that make me think I need to stalk you so that I can be friends with Claire because she must be so similar to me that I would love her.

Congratulations on finding a woman who understands what's important in life.
