Home

I am so blessed to be able to do what I do for a living...I travel all over the country, staying in beautiful hotels, eating at amazing restaurants, and playing on sweet golf courses.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the opportunities I have and how much I enjoy what I do. I still can't really figure out how I got into the work I am in, but make no mistake, I am very well aware of how blessed I am to have fallen into it.

But sometimes that travel gets to be too much. Sometimes holding that phone to my ear, talking to Claire in another time zone, gets very old. It is why I chased her across the country, leaving all that I ever knew and everyone I love.

The last 2 weeks I have been traveling, yet again. Another trip, another flight, another meal, another hotel.

Then I hear that Michael Buble song, Home. It might have been a little much. I would like to be home in Virginia, having dinner with her right now.

AWWW...that is so sweet. My husband travels too and he always says that there is nothing compared to his own bed and being home with his family! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He should be flying in late tonight after being in North Carolina for a few days!

My husband travel weekly. It's never very far, nor very long, but to me, it seems like forever. Hope you have safe travels home soon!

You suck! Thanks for making me teary eyed while I am on the road :). I have not heard that song before, it is a great (and terrible) song.

What exactly do you do for a living, if I am allowed to ask?

The Maid
(PS - Sheet changer, laundry doer, grocery shopper, butt wiper, etc. Do you see the glamour in all of this?)

I am curious about your occupation as well. If you do not want to say it here...email me.

I picture you sitting there with a single tear rolling down your cheek...!

I wasn't emotional until I read Steve's comment...now I'm all teary eyed too!

It's definitely a relatable feeling. But at least you're enjoying life and your job. :)

I used to travel a lot for work too. It was fun at first and then got old quick. I sympathize with you buddy.

I love that song. I love me some Buble. Did you see my public apology to you regarding music choices?
