The other day I was sitting on the couch and I was startled by the loud horn that went off outside my window...now, I am used to loud noises outside. I live right on the water, across from a shipyard and the downtown ferry toots its horn (one long, 3 short) every 30 minutes, but this horn shook the windows. It is the USS Harry S. Truman all of 100 feet from my apartment. How cool is that?

I live near train tracks and we get the horn too. 2 longs, 1 short, and 1 more long as it crosses the street!
