That is the music count on my iTunes player after assessing the full damage my "cleaning" efforts did.
I decided I needed to clean-up some of my folders. It appeared all that music was duplicates, so I deleted out of the playlist. Then I deleted the folders and sent them to the trash bin.
Then I emptied the trash bin.
Over 3000 songs, gone.
I am not real happy with myself right now.

OMG, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how long it takes to download those since my hubby sits here hours trying to do that.. searching, downloading, charging.
Hopefully you can get some of them back!
GAH!! This is why I've only had my fingers hovering over these folders when I've considered doing this same housekeeping task!! I am mortified for you!!
Yowsa!
My brother I weep for your loss. That hurt me just reading it...
If you have all of your lost music on your iPod, you can try to do this to recover it: http://www.askdavetaylor.com/can_i_transfer_music_from_my_ipod_onto_my_mac.html
Hope it helps!
Does this mean I need to send you all those Color Me Bad singles again?
I had that happen where I had a LOT of songs that I lost somehow. I'm not really sure how, either, because I didn't do anything to my computer.
I'm thinking somehow my ten year old did something, since he likes to go into iTunes.
Ooohhhhhh...man, oh man. I'm sorry.
Not to make this all about me, but my husband did that once...TO MY PICTURES.
He erased 2 of my 3 children's births (I had printed the best ones out for photo albums but still had lots of special random moments left unprinted), erased their birthdays, baptisms, Christmases, Easters...omg, I'm making myself upset.
He still tears up when he thinks about that incident, because he remembers how long and hard I cried!
I love that little kid in the pic, btw.
