Mother is to blame

Claire and I fly out on Friday for Michigan...specifically the northern part of Michigan. We are snowmobiling with some friends for the weekend. Oh it should be so great!

------------------------

Happy Anniversary to my very good friends Steve and Stacey. Their wedding was a mixture of ahhh how sweet with a little bit of yuck thrown in...they know why. I am not explaining that one. You never know who reads this stuff.

But their marriage has been one that I look to for ideas, attitudes, examples, and love. I hope to one day be blessed as you have been. Thank you for always being there...thank you for allowing me the honor of being Emma's Godfather...thank you for being you.

------------------------

Inspired by this post over at Poop and Boogies, I thought I would share my own sad picture...

Seriously I look like I am wearing some sort of Velvet Elvis Revival Shirt.

Mom, what were you thinking?

-------------------------

I think if I wore that shirt to a club today I would be in style...

------------------------

Don't you just love the hair? Yes, I did wear some semblance of that style until 2006. Claire swears up and down that if I had been wearing that when we met she would have laughed me away and never looked again. Good thing I had the sense, at 30, to get a new do!

------------------------

Glad my teeth grew in.

Have a fun safe trip.

I think the shirt would have been fine if you would have fully committed to it. I mean, you should have worn a gold chain and maybe have drawn in some chest hair or something.

Is that shirt a fine faux velour? I believe there exists a school photo where I'm sporting some terry cloth. Terry cloth should just be for robes and wash clothes.

Until about two years ago, when I showed my husband the way, he was still sporting his grade school hairstyle. We hold onto that which we love. Sometimes we must finally admit we need hair product, though.

William - You are welcome...and thanks.

Scarlett - I had the same thought. Even better if I had a thick NYC or even a South Boston accent, no?

Katelin - Never done it, but we are super excited.

DKG - I am just thankful that the change came pre-Claire. I mean, look at all the cool stuff I would have missed if she thought I was ugly! ;-)
