Naomi Campbell interviews Hugo Chavez (Hat tip to Ex-Everything)
HUH? Seriously? I don't even know what to say about this.
I am sitting here, jaw agape...
I mean, seriously? Naomi Campbell? Maybe Twiggy can arrange a meeting with Putin...or Kathy Ireland can have a "60 Minutes" style sit down with Kim Jong-Il in Pyongyang...or Sheryl Teague can schedule time with Raul Castro.

Maybe I should be happy about this...maybe the world might start seeing what a joke Hugo Chavez is.

Sorry, I should not digress into world politics on this blog...it is supposed to be about my life in P-Towne. So, I digress...I went to Costco earlier this week to get fruit. What is the world coming to when the best place to get fruit is at Costco?
No, I did not buy 47 apples, 2 crates of oranges, or 5 lbs of kiwi's...I did, however, take down a nice pineapple and some sugar snap peas...that I have to return because they are nasty...at least the pineapple is good!
This is a very stark difference to the Cali style I am accustomed to...there, Von's or Henry's would supply fresh, supple fruit all the time...here, I have to go to Costco.
I am like a fish out of water.

I'll think of you when I am at Henry's today stocking up! Guess you'll have to come out for a visit so you don't get scurvy!
That is what I like about living in FL. Fresh Fruit all the time.
So, how in the bloody world do you survive in a place with no fresh fruit? Farmers markets?
Also, whee, hattip.
Thanks Stace...I appreciate your love...and I will try to stay away from Scurvy, although a friend's kids just came down with Scarlet Fever...I mean, seriously. Who gets that?
William...Fresh Fruit...blah blah blah...I did have a very nice can of mandarin oranges today! :-)
Ex...I think I am slowly dying. I will be sad and pathetic...I think if I ever end up back in SoCal, I will be one of those people that think a strawberry milkshake counts as fruit.
Or ketchup! Ketchup is totally a vegetable on the weird right coast.
It's pretty sad when I read the words sugar snap peas and my mouth starts to water... I apparently need to eat somthing...

I tagged you for a meme! Whee!
I was completely impressed the last time I was out west with the supply of fresh fruits and veggies. I am by no means a vegan, but I love my veggies. Unfortuantely, it's just not that way here in the east.
I'm lucky I found a good veggie stand!
